TLC plate photo and recording tool
ChemicalHelper TLC helps chemists record thin-layer chromatography experiments straight from a phone. Take a photo of your TLC plate or upload one from the album; the tool detects and crops the white plate automatically. You can fine-tune the four corners, then log the eluent ratio (for example PE / EtOAc = 10:1 or DCM / MeOH = 20:1), the Rf value, the UV wavelength, iodine staining and any experiment notes. Records can be saved to your account and exported as an A4 PDF for the lab notebook or a paper appendix.
Common eluent ratios and typical Rf observations are available as presets, so you do not have to type them by hand. Nothing needs to be installed — the tool runs in a mobile browser.
Capture / upload
White plate is auto-cropped by default. In fine-tune mode drag the four corners, then tap “Fine-tune crop” again to apply; pinch to zoom the canvas.
